Product Safety Testing

The Test Center offers accredited services to perform Product Safety tests, which are required to show conformity with the Low-voltage directive of the European Union and other regulatory provisions needed on the global markets.

In the case that tests cannot be performed in the Test Center we will organize these tests to be performed by an adequate Test Laboratory.

In addition, the Test Center offers general risk assessments required for special purposes.

Product Safety tests for electrical equipment for measurement equipment

Safety Tests for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use are performed according to the Standard family IEC 61010
(Safety requirements for electrical equipment for laboratory use - Part 1: General requirements) including their local deviations.

General safety requirements IEC/EN/CSA/UL 61010-1

The equipment und test (EUT) is tested for complying with various requirements considering electrical, mechanical,
fire, temperature, pressure and radiation hazards or hazards caused by fluids (liquids and gases).

Particular safety requirements for laboratory equipment for the heating of materials IEC/EN/CSA/UL 61010-2-010
Particular safety requirements for automatic and semiautomatic laboratory
equipment for analysis and other purposes
IEC/EN/CSA 61010-2-081
Particular safety requirements for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical equipment IEC/EN/CSA 61010-2-101
Risk management for medical and IVD equipment ISO 14971 Evaluation of the Risk Management required for IVD medical equipment.

Product Safety tests for laser equipment

Laser Safety Tests are performed according to the Standard IEC 60825-1 / EN 60825-1 (Safety of laser products - Part 1: Equipment classification, requirements).

Laser radiation measurements (normal and single fault condition) are performed to identify the EUT's laser class of the instrument
